ACC site and DCC Project (GWDI) where GENTEC provided AFTN/CIDIN System at Jeddah ACC.

At each of the 3 regional centers we maintained and operated computer controlled telex exchanges involving DEC-PDP-11/70 computers. We operated and maintained the EDP Center at MoPTT headquarters which controlled, processed and administered all billings for all Saudi Telex subscribers nationwide. SUPPORT TO DESERT SHIELD & DESERT STORM OPERATION 1993 |
During the Desert Shield and Desert Storm operations, GENTEC undertook several special projects providing emergency telecommunications services to the Coalition Forces.
These support networks included Land Mobile Radio Communications, Multi-Point Microwave TV-Channel distribution (wireless cable TV), Satellite TV reception and distribution,
and site-wide Wireless Siren Alert System JADAWEL INTERNATIONAL (1994) GENTEC has a mature experience in SMATV and CATV network design and implementation. GENTEC has implemented medium to large scale CATV systems involving Satellite TV reception, channel conversion, processing, modulation, amplification and distribution. GENTEC designed and implemented Jadawel International’s Compound ‘E’ CATV system comprising of over 4,000 outlet points with at least 36 channels of video programs; all piped-in through a cable network involving over 30 kilometers of cable network. |

Providing management, operations and maintenance to the entire telex and data network of the Saudi Arabian Telex Network. GENTEC has installed the system in 1978 and continued
providing its services to MoPTT till 1982. In 1987 the Ministry of PTT selected GENTEC (in partnership with British Telecom) to manage, maintain, and operate the Telex and Data Transmission Network and maintain the Telegraph Network. Our responsibility was for 3 years commencing January 1988. |

COMPUTER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE |
Unlike most of such projects whereby the incumbent contractor transfers his staff to the incoming contractor, both of these projects were new and the staff had to build from
the ground-up. The computer system maintenance contract was reconfigured on a year-by-year basis. Our satisfactory performance was demonstrated by the fact that we received a 3-year contract extension in January 1989 without the necessity to call for tenders. GENTEC continued providing the maintenance and operation services till 1993. |

In 1986 we were awarded a 3-year contract for the expansion of the telephone, radio, and radar systems and the operation and maintenance of all telecom systems at the Jeddah
Islamic Port. In addition, GENTEC engineered and supervised considerable outside plant at the Port. In 1991 GENTEC was successful in receiving a 3-year contract for operation and maintenance of all telecom systems at the Jeddah Islamic Port. |

During 1981-1985 GENTEC provided the telephone technicians and supervisors to carry out installation, relocation and maintenance to telephone equipment for the Dhahran area. A similar contract was awarded in 1984 for the installation, removal, operation and maintenance of radio, telephone and facsimile equipment at the Yanbu LNG Plant and the Gassim refinery. |

GENTEC implemented a highly sophisticated and state-of-the-art Digital Microwave (broadband radio) System for the Saudi Aramco`s permanent communications systems in the Southern Area Gas Plants Areas. The said system employed 35 Mbps digital microwave radio links, digital access cross connect systems with remote network manager, 34, 8 and 2 Mbps multiplex equipment connecting over 4,000 circuits of data and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System) and voice traffic. | SAUDI ARAMCO |

in Saudi Arabia. GENTEC is currently maintaining the Pay Phone Management System for GPT supplied card phones. In addition, we are also maintaining the card encoding plant at the Ministry of Finance Complex on behalf of MoPTT. |
